Beyond her profession, she takes center stage as a key member of the renowned rock band, Foxy Codon.
Foxy Codon emerged in 2017 from a group of music-loving physicians, quickly amassing a devoted Orange County fanbase with their vibrant performances of 80s and 90s hits.
Dr. Kariya’s musical journey began in junior high, where she discovered her talent for playing the flute. Now, she shines as a versatile member of Foxy Codon, skillfully playing flute, keyboard, and delivering captivating vocals. Despite the demands of her medical profession, she maintains harmony between her career and musical endeavors. Weeknights are dedicated to honing her musical skills and weekends come alive with captivating performances.
Following a day of analyzing test results, administering treatments, and delivering prognoses, Dr. Kariya finds solace in the world of music.
